American Persimmon fabric in color Midnight

The American persimmon is a native tree that grows in the central and Eastern US and is known for its sweet, orange fruit. This beautiful tree is the inspiration for our American Persimmon pattern. The design depicts a food forest, a grouping of native, perrennial plants that center around fruit and nut trees to replicate sustainable ecosystems found in nature. Featuring an American persimmon, the pattern also includes an assortment of the tree’s ideal growing partners, small, flowering plants such as agastache, coneflowers and yarrow. In addition, the pattern features insects and birds that are drawn to the American persimmon for its flowers and fruit, including the Eastern swallowtail butterfly and the yellow-rumped warbler.
